Perkins CVI Certificate

The Perkins CVI Certificate program provides advanced-level continuing education courses focused on supporting students with Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI).

Created and taught by experts from Perkins School for the Blind with hands-on classroom experience, these courses incorporate best practices in an engaging format, helping participants transform the lives of children with CVI.

The program offers in-depth knowledge on the fundamentals of CVI, including its definition, prevalence, and associated visual behaviors. Participants will gain practical skills in assessing students using The Perkins CVI Protocol℠, a research-based tool for educational assessment, and learn how to integrate CVI-specific strategies into Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans.

This four course program is designed by expert Perkins educators, tailored to meet the urgent needs of professionals, parents, and caregivers, in order to promote success and enhance the quality of life of individuals with CVI at school, at home, and in the community.

These courses are available individually, with no prerequisites, and learners who complete all four courses will receive a Perkins CVI Certificate.
