This course provides in-depth training on The Perkins CVI Protocol℠, the first comprehensive and holistic assessment tool for students with Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI).
Participants will first explore the 16 visual behaviors and compensatory skills that form the foundation of this framework, gaining insight into how CVI impacts students and the strategies that enhance their access to learning. Using The Perkins CVI Protocol℠, learners will develop expertise in conducting file reviews, interviewing parents and teachers, and completing tailored CVI assessments.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to explain and apply The Perkins CVI Protocol℠, utilize its key components, and customize assessments to meet the unique needs of the students they support.
